At DanBlumen we have been working with certifications for many years now.
Back in 2008, we achieved our first certification level and over time, more have been added.
Likewise, some of the Danish gardeners have been certified over time, so we can today offer our customers a number of Danish certified products both under MPS and GlobalGAP.
For you as a customer and business partner, the certifications are first and foremost a way to ensure that you are collaborating with a company that works structured with its development. And where there is full focus on traceability, so that you as a customer are absolutely sure to get the desired product.
Under MPS, we are certified as MPS Florimark ‘Good Trade Practice’.
This certification places demands on our way of working to develop the company, both internally and in collaboration with our suppliers and partners.
In GlobalGAP, our certification is called ‘Chain of Custody’. It deals in particular with physical and registration traceability and sets specific formal requirements for the paperwork.
Since we are a trading company and not a manufacturer, we unfortunately cannot be audited according to the GRASP standard, but we still follow the regulations as we both want to support the focus on social conditions and stay informed about the requirements for our suppliers.
Both certifications are checked annually by external auditors.

The following certifications can be used to deliver plants from Danish producers: MPS ABC, MPS GAP, MPS SQ, MPSGAP, GlobalGAP and GRASP. More and more gardeners are getting the MPS GAP certification and also have a social add-on such as SQ or GRASP.
